Lay down parchment or use a silicone sheet to cover a baking tray.

Warm up butter and marshmallows in a microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at a time. Mix in food coloring, then vanilla. Stir until smooth and blended.

Stir in cereal gently, making sure it’s evenly coated. Use a greased 1/4-cup measure to scoop. Place on tray, make a hole in the middle, then decorate with red candy pieces.

Cool them completely and wait for them to firm up before handling.
