Peppermint Bark (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Crush up 2-3 peppermint candy canes.
02 - 1/2 spoon of peppermint flavoring.
03 - 1 1/2 spoons of any neutral oil.
04 - 6 oz of chopped dark chocolate (170g).
05 - 12 oz of chopped white chocolate (339g).

# Instructions:

01 - Cover the bottom of an 8- or 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
02 - Melt half of the white chocolate with 1/2 spoon of oil in short bursts (about 20 seconds per go). Add 1/4 spoon mint flavor. Spread into the lined pan.
03 - Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes until it’s almost firm.
04 - Melt the dark chocolate using the same method—add 1/2 spoon of oil and the rest of the mint flavor. Pour on top of the white layer.
05 - Cool it again in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
06 - Melt the remaining white chocolate with the last spoon of oil. Pour over the dark chocolate layer and sprinkle the crushed peppermints.
07 - Let it chill in the fridge for about an hour. If it’s too cold, leave it out for 10-15 minutes before handling.
08 - Take it out of the pan, peel off the paper, and break into chunks.

# Notes:

01 - Good-quality chocolate tastes way better.
02 - Using oil makes it easier to slice later.
03 - Candy melts aren’t a great swap here.
04 - No need to do the fancy chocolate tempering.
