Beef Noodles Stirfry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 10 ounces of pasta (spaghetti or linguine).
02 - 1 pound of lean beef, ground.
03 - 4 teaspoons of minced fresh ginger.
04 - 6 garlic cloves, finely minced.
05 - 1/2 cup of light brown sugar.
06 - 1/2 cup of broth made from beef.
07 - 1/2 cup soy sauce, low-sodium.
08 - 4 tablespoons of hoisin sauce.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon of regular black pepper.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional).
11 - 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
12 - 2 tablespoons of plain water.
13 - 4 green onions, sliced medium-thin.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil the noodles in unsalted water.
02 - In a big pan, cook the ground beef until it browns up.
03 - Toss in the minced ginger and garlic for the final 2 minutes. Crumble the beef as it cooks.
04 - Drain the fat from the cooked beef, then pop it back into the pan.
05 - Pour in hoisin, soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the meat.
06 - Blend water and cornstarch. Add it to the pan and stir until the sauce firms up a little.
07 - Stir in the cooked and drained pasta. Let it sit a few minutes to soak up some flavor.
08 - Finish by sprinkling sliced green onions over the dish.

02 - Try dialing down the sugar if preferred.
03 - Opt for low-sodium ingredients to cut down salt.
