White Chocolate Bars (Printable Version)

These soft, chewy blondies made with brown sugar and white chocolate chips are a rich and buttery dessert bar that’s a fun spin on classic brownies.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Base

01 - Melted butter, 225g or 1 cup (make sure it’s cooled down)
02 - Brown sugar or demerara sugar, 340g or 1¾ cups (light is better)
03 - Two eggs
04 - All-purpose or plain flour, 285g or 2 cups

→ Mix-ins

05 - White chocolate chips, 100g or ½ cup

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Set the oven to 180°C/356°F and line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk the sugar and eggs together in a medium-sized bowl until well blended.
03 - Slowly pour in the cooled melted butter while stirring the egg mixture.
04 - Stir in the flour until it’s fully mixed in. The batter will get super thick.
05 - Fold in the white chocolate chips, making sure they’re spread out evenly.
06 - Pour the batter into your prepared pan, smooth the surface, and if you want, sprinkle some sea salt on top. Bake for 25 minutes until the edges are firm, and the top is golden.
07 - Leave it to cool completely in the tin before lifting it out and slicing it into 9 pieces.

# Additional Notes:

01 - If you use an 8-inch pan, the blondies will be thicker and need extra time to bake.
02 - Don’t overmix the flour, or the blondies might turn dense.
03 - The batter will feel thick, and that’s okay—that’s what gives the final treat its chewiness.
04 - Make sure the blondies are totally cool before cutting. It’s worth the wait!
