Southern Biscuits Gravy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 ready-to-eat or homemade biscuits.
02 - 1 pound raw sausage.
03 - Half a cup of all-purpose flour.
04 - 3 to 4 cups of milk.
05 - Season with salt and pepper to taste.
06 - Optional: A dash of cayenne.
07 - Optional: Sprinkle of red pepper flakes.

# Instructions:

01 - In a big skillet, cook sausage on medium heat until the pink disappears. Remove it and blot off extra fat.
02 - Put the sausage back in and stir it with the flour until it blends evenly.
03 - Slowly pour in milk while keeping it on medium heat. Stir until you get the consistency you want.
04 - Taste and add salt, pepper, or some cayenne or red chili flakes if you'd like.

01 - You can pick any kind of biscuits.
02 - Whole milk gives the creamiest gravy.
03 - Don't toss out that sausage grease; it adds flavor!
