01 -
Get a large mixing bowl and mix the milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Wait 5-10 minutes until you see it getting foamy.
02 -
In another mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Pour melted butter, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla extract into the yeast mixture. Gradually start adding the dry mix while stirring until a soft dough comes together. Knead it on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and stretchy.
03 -
Put your dough in a greased bowl, cover it up, and let it sit somewhere warm for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
04 -
Stir the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a small bowl until it's smooth and ready to spread.
05 -
Punch out the air from the risen dough, roll it flat on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 15x9 inches), and then spread the filling over it evenly. Roll it up tightly, starting along a long edge, then slice into 12 equal pieces. Lay them out in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
06 -
Cover the dish and leave the rolls to rise once more until they’ve puffed up, about 30-45 minutes.
07 -
Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls until golden and cooked through, which should take 25-30 minutes. Let them cool a bit before moving on.
08 -
In a mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese and butter together until creamy. Slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while mixing, then stir in the milk one tablespoon at a time until the texture is just right.
09 -
Spread the cream cheese glaze generously over your warm rolls. Add heart sprinkles on top for a cute touch, then serve and enjoy!
