Sweet-Spicy Shrimp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Shrimp

01 - 10 oz shrimp, keep the tails on
02 - 1 large egg
03 - 1/2 cup cornstarch or arrowroot starch
04 - 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground garlic powder
06 - 1 to 2 tablespoons of avocado oil

→ Sauce

07 - 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil
08 - 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
09 - 1/3 cup chopped green onions
10 - 2 tablespoons spicy gochujang chili paste
11 - 3 tablespoons of honey for sweetness
12 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce or coconut aminos
13 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
14 - 2 tablespoons of water to thin the sauce
15 - 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Dip the shrimp in the beaten egg, then coat them in the seasoned arrowroot or cornstarch mix
02 - In a large pan, fry shrimp in small batches for about 2 minutes on each side until they’re crispy and golden
03 - Cook the minced garlic and scallions in sesame oil, then stir in the rest of the sauce ingredients and simmer until the mixture thickens
04 - Coat the cooked shrimp with the finished sauce, then sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top
