Stir together the baking powder with flour in a small dish. Leave it for now.

Whip the butter until creamy. Toss in eggs, almond flavoring, and sugar, then beat it. Don’t worry if it looks a little uneven.

Mix the flour combo into the wet stuff. Stir just until combined, then chill for at least an hour.

Scoop dough into balls (a tablespoon works great). Space them a bit apart, like an inch, on a baking sheet with parchment.

Pop them in the oven at 350°F for about 8-10 minutes. Don’t let them brown. Let them cool all the way.

Mix confectioner's sugar and milk a bit at a time until it’s nice and thick. Stir in flavoring too.

Dip the cooled cookies in the glaze. Set them on a rack so excess drips off, then sprinkle while wet.
