Easy Chai Iced Tea (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Other

01 - 1 vanilla bean pod or a teaspoon of vanilla essence
02 - 2 spoons of honey
03 - A cup of your preferred milk (dairy or non-dairy)
04 - A handful of ice cubes

→ Spices

05 - A teaspoon of ground cinnamon
06 - A half-teaspoon of powdered cardamom
07 - A quarter-teaspoon of clove powder
08 - A quarter-teaspoon of powdered ginger

→ Tea Base

09 - 2 cups of water
10 - 2 teabags of black tea (like Darjeeling or Assam)

# Instructions:

01 - Steep the teabags along with spices in simmering water for about 5 minutes, letting all the flavors mix together.
02 - Take the pot off the heat, stir in honey and vanilla, and give it a good mix until the honey dissolves. Take out the teabags and vanilla bean if you’ve used it.
03 - Let the chai sit until it hits room temperature. To speed things up, use an ice bath to chill it faster.
04 - Froth the milk with a frother or shake it up in a sealed jar. You could also slightly warm the milk and whisk it for that frothy texture.
05 - Fill your glass with some ice, pour the cooled chai about two-thirds of the way up, and top it off with your frothy milk. Add vanilla essence here if that’s what you’re using.

# Notes:

01 - Stash in the fridge and enjoy it within 3 days
02 - Adjust the spices to match your taste
