Simple Focaccia Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 and 3/4 cups (415ml) warm water
02 - 4 cups (500g) of bread or all-purpose flour
03 - 2 teaspoons (10g) salt
04 - 2 and 1/4 teaspoons (7g) of either instant or active dry yeast
05 - 1/4 cup (60ml) of high-quality olive oil

→ Toppings

06 - A sprinkle of coarse sea salt on top
07 - A couple of tablespoons of fresh rosemary leaves
08 - Olive oil for a light drizzle

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast together. Pour in the warm water and olive oil, stirring until it looks rough and lumpy. Knead for about 10 minutes until it's smooth, stretchy, and soft.
02 - Place the dough in a bowl that’s oiled lightly, cover it with plastic wrap, and leave it in a warm spot for 1-2 hours. It’s ready when it doubles in size.
03 - Oil your baking sheet and gently stretch the dough to fit it. Use your fingertips to press into the dough, creating those classic little dimples all over.
04 - Cover the dough once more and wait for it to rise for another 30 minutes.
05 - Set your oven to 425°F (220°C). Drizzle olive oil over the dough, then top it with sea salt and rosemary. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - A classic Italian flatbread with a crisp outer crust and a pillowy center.
