Frozen Cherry Lime Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 ½ cups of ice cubes.
02 - 2 tablespoons of half-and-half, if you want it creamier.
03 - ¼ cup tart cherry juice, unsweetened.
04 - ¼ cup of freshly squeezed lime juice (you'll need about 2 limes).
05 - Zest from 1 large lime or two smaller ones.
06 - ½ cup of water.
07 - ½ cup of sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the sugar and water together in a small pot over medium heat. Stir once in a while until the sugar's gone. Mix in the lime zest, then take it off the heat.
02 - Let the lime mix sit with a lid on for an hour. Then pour it through a small sieve, tossing the zest afterward. Keep any leftover syrup in your fridge for up to a week if needed.
03 - Grab a blender and pour in half a cup of your syrup. Add the lime juice, cherry juice, ice, and optional half-and-half to the blender.
04 - Turn on the blender and mix everything until it looks slushy and the ice is crushed.
05 - Split the slushy drink evenly into four 8-ounce glasses, and drink it up right away.

# Notes:

01 - This frosty lime drink has a tangy flavor and can be tweaked by adding more cherry juice for boldness or extra half-and-half to make it silky.
