Cinnamon French Bread Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces French bread (half loaf), cut into cubes.
02 - 1/2 cup butter.
03 - 1 cup packed brown sugar.
04 - 6 large eggs.
05 - 2 cups milk.
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
07 - 2 teaspoons cinnamon, split.
08 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar for garnish.
09 - Optional dusting of powdered sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven going at 425°F. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with butter.
02 - Combine butter with brown sugar in a pot, stirring until blended. Transfer to your greased dish.
03 - Scatter the bread cubes on top of the sweet mixture in your dish.
04 - Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, and half the cinnamon in a bowl. Pour over the bread so every cube gets soaked.
05 - Sprinkle the extra cinnamon and brown sugar across the surface.
06 - Pop in oven for 25-30 minutes till it turns golden. Add powdered sugar on top if you want.

# Notes:

01 - Works better with stale bread that's a day old.
02 - You can make it ahead and leave in fridge overnight.
03 - Keeps well in freezer up to 3 months.
