In a big pot, toss in the cranberries and water. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer. Let them cook for about 20 minutes until the berries soften and pop.

Push the mixture through a sieve or nut milk bag. Keep pressing or squeezing to get as much liquid out as you can.

Mix in your preferred sweetener to taste. For granulated sugar, heat it up again to make sure it dissolves fully.

Let the liquid cool all the way down before pouring it into a container or serving.
