Butter Cookie Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup powdered or superfine sugar.
02 - 1 cup of softened, salted butter.
03 - 2 cups of all-purpose flour (must contain at least 11% protein).

# Instructions:

01 - Whip the butter and sugar together for 1-2 minutes until the mixture looks fluffy and pale. Add the flour and stir on the lowest speed until a dough forms.
02 - Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap, and pop it in the fridge for at least an hour.
03 - Roll the chilled dough out to a thickness of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Use your favorite cookie cutters to create shapes, and chill the cut shapes while the oven gets hot.
04 - Bake at 325°F for 10-12 minutes, just until the edges are a light golden color. Let the cookies cool completely before you dig in.

# Notes:

01 - Premium butter will give the best flavor.
02 - Cookies last about a week at room temperature or up to 10 days in the fridge.
03 - You can freeze them for a month, too.
04 - If the dough feels crumbly, try adding some extra butter.
