Green Bean Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/8 spoon garlic powder
02 - 2 cloves garlic
03 - 1/4 cup flour
04 - 24 oz. frozen cut green beans
05 - 4 oz. cream cheese
06 - 8 oz. mushrooms
07 - 3/4 spoon salt
08 - 1/4 spoon black pepper
09 - 4 spoons butter
10 - 1 spoon olive oil
11 - 1 cup whole milk
12 - 1 cup veggie broth
13 - 1 cup crispy onions

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 350º. Dice the mushrooms into small pieces and mince the garlic finely.
02 - Heat some oil in a big pan over medium heat. Toss in the mushrooms, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir often until softened. Add the garlic, cooking until no liquid remains.
03 - Melt butter in the pan and add the flour. Stir everything together until it forms a paste. Keep mixing for about 2 minutes until it turns a light brown shade.
04 - Slowly pour in the broth, milk, and garlic powder. Stir it all together, making sure to loosen up any stuck bits at the base of the pan. Let it simmer until it thickens.
05 - Stir in the cream cheese until it melts completely into the mixture.
06 - Dump the green beans in and mix them into the sauce. Let everything cook until the beans are hot and the sauce has a little bubble to it. Taste it and adjust with more salt or pepper if needed.
07 - Mix in a quarter cup of crispy onions with the green beans. Pour all of it into a baking dish. Spread the leftover onions evenly across the top.
08 - Pop it in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the onions on top are golden and the sauce is bubbly around the edges.

# Notes:

01 - Perfect for big gatherings or holiday meals.
02 - Best when made with fresh, quality ingredients.
