# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 2 big yellow onions, sliced thin
02 - 3 teaspoons of avocado oil
03 - 1 pound of ground chuck, 80/20 ratio
04 - 5 tablespoons of butter, unsalted
05 - 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
06 - 6 slices of rye bread, thick cut
07 - 6 ounces of Swiss cheese, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Put the onions in butter over medium heat, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally on low for 30-35 minutes until they turn deep brown. Add vinegar to scrape up the tasty bits.
02 - Shape 3 burger patties and sprinkle with seasoning just before cooking. Get your griddle hot, aiming for 375-400°F.
03 - Toss the patties on some oil, and cook them for 3 minutes per side.
04 - Spread butter on the bread and give each side 1-2 minutes on the griddle to crisp up.
05 - Place cheese, caramelized onions, and a burger patty on toasted bread. Stack it up with the second slice of bread and serve warm.
