Fried Apple Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A large egg.
02 - 4 apples (such as Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, or Gala).
03 - Cooking oil like coconut or vegetable for frying.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla (if you want).
05 - 3/4 cup of milk (whole or 2%).
06 - 2 tablespoons of sugar.
07 - A mix of 1 cup and 2 extra tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
08 - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
09 - 1/3 cup of sugar.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
11 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Cut apples into 3/8-inch rings, aiming for 1/4-inch thickness. Scooped-out centers work best.
02 - Set a sturdy pan (cast iron works great!) over heat and warm up about an inch of oil to 365°F.
03 - Take 1/3 cup sugar and mix it with cinnamon. Keep aside until later.
04 - Stir milk and egg together with a whisk. Blend in dry stuff until mixed well.
05 - Dip apple pieces into batter. Fry them for about 1-2 minutes per side, or till golden brown. Drain, then toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mix while still hot.

# Notes:

01 - Pick baking apples.
02 - Store-bought pancake mix works as a quick fix.
03 - Save any leftover apple cores for another use.
04 - Warm the oil to the right temp.
05 - Awesome choice for a next-day morning snack.
06 - Try shortcuts if you're in a rush.
