Marbled Christmas Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 stick of butter, softened.
02 - 1½ cups of confectioners' sugar.
03 - 1 egg, large and at room temp.
04 - 2 tsp pure vanilla.
05 - 3 cups regular flour.
06 - 1 tsp of baking powder.
07 - A pinch (¼ tsp) kosher salt.
08 - 2 tsp water (only if it feels dry).
09 - 2½ cups icing sugar for decorating.
10 - 1¼ Tbsp meringue powder.
11 - About 3 to 4 Tbsp warm water.
12 - Clear vanilla (¼ to 1 tsp).
13 - Food coloring in gel form (blue, red, green).

# Instructions:

01 - Beat together sugar and butter until light. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients until it sticks together nicely.
02 - Split dough into two flat shapes, wrap with plastic, and store in the fridge for 30 minutes.
03 - Flatten dough to ¼ inch thick, slice into designs. Bake at 350°F for about 9-10 mins, edges should barely brown.
04 - Whisk icing sugar, meringue powder, extract, and water until smooth for drizzling.
05 - Portion out icing, blend in colors lightly. Dip cookies and let any extra drip off. Leave to set for 2 hours.
