Grab a microwave-safe bowl and add your Crispix. Cover your baking sheets with parchment paper to stop sticking.

Melt butter, sugar, syrup, and vanilla together. Let it boil gently for 1-2 minutes while you stir often. Stir in baking soda and wait for the foam to calm down.

Drizzle the caramel over Crispix and toss gently to coat. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Repeat that 3 more times.

Spread everything onto the sheets you lined earlier. Sprinkle some sea salt over the top. Let it cool down all the way, then break into chunks.
