Sweet Bacon Little Smokies (Print Version)

01 - 16-ounce package of cocktail-sized smokies
02 - 1 lb of thin bacon, sliced into thirds
03 - 3/4 cup of brown sugar, packed tightly
04 - Freshly ground black pepper, add as much or as little as you like

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F. You can either grease a baking tray or dish with some nonstick spray or cover it with foil to keep things tidy.
02 - Dry off the sausages, then wrap each one with a piece of bacon. Use toothpicks to hold it together.
03 - Pour the brown sugar into a large plastic bag with a zip top. Add a few of the bacon-wrapped sausages at a time, shake until they're coated well, and place them on the tray you prepared.
04 - Lightly sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the sausages to your liking.
05 - Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the bacon turns golden brown. If you want a crispier finish, broil them for a couple more minutes to get them just right.
