Baked Brie Fig Combo (Printable Version)

Melty brie paired with luscious fig jam, a touch of thyme, and optional nuts and honey. A crowd-pleaser served with crackers or bread.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - A single brie cheese wheel (8-10 ounces)
02 - Quarter cup of fig jam

→ Optional Toppings

03 - One tablespoon of honey
04 - A teaspoon of fresh thyme
05 - A quarter cup of chopped walnuts or pecans

→ For Serving

06 - Pick from crackers, slices of baguette, or fresh fruit

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Crank your oven up to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up.
02 - Unwrap the brie cheese. If it’s in a wooden box, pop it back in after unwrapping—it makes for a cute dish. Or just place it in a small baking dish if you don’t have the box.
03 - Take a sharp knife and lightly slash a crisscross pattern on the surface of the brie. Doing this helps the jam seep in while it bakes.
04 - Spread the fig jam over the scored brie. Go ahead and sprinkle on the nuts, thyme, or drizzle with honey if you're using those extras.
05 - Slide it into the preheated oven and let it bake for about 15-20 minutes. You can check if it’s ready when it feels soft and gooey at a gentle press.
06 - Give it about 5 minutes to cool down a bit, and then serve it up with your choice of crackers, bread slices, or fresh fruit.

# Additional Notes:

01 - It’s best eaten when it’s warm and the cheese is still runny.
02 - You can prep everything beforehand and bake it just before your guests arrive.
